Us Without Women
Book Design & Illustration

(Us Without) is a book series that imagines life without the inventions of people who were overlooked—because of their gender, race, religion, caste, age, or disabilities.
Each book highlights a group that has faced discrimination, sharing the stories of inventors from that group, the struggles they overcame, and the impact of their creations. By showing what the world would be like without them, the series helps us see how much we owe to those history tried to ignore.
Created with the hope of building a more inclusive future, this project was fully imagined, written, illustrated, and designed by Mariam Alrefai.
